The adventure starts at 4am, by sunrise we arrive in the empire of geysers. On an altitude of 4.300 meter the landscape is completely out of this world. Freezing cold and the smell of minerals like sulfur and others. Every once in a while the almost constant menacing sound of boiling water under our feet is accompanied by the hissing sound of hot water bursting into the air. Sipping coldish coffee while sleepwalking on thin rock with water of 85 degrees celsius under...
By 9am the sun warms us up a bit and we take a dip into the hot water surrounded by geysers and mountains. The highest termal bath in the world with a spectacular scenery. Hot water is filtering in through the mud and tickles our feet.
During the rest of the sleepy day we are shaken up from time to time by the view of some vicuñas (belongs to the lama family only much finer and cuter - gives the finest and most expensive wool, near to extinction), funny laughing birds and a stroll in a little canon surrounded by a cactus forrest.
