Valparaiso mi amor...

There have been few places so far which I did not feel like leaving in anticipation for other adventures. Valparaiso is one of them. The place has some magic, something very cool, some of the bohem life style some of us would keep looking for if we would not know better by now... a sparkling sensation of freedom and excitement.
You feel like talking to the people, which applies to the whole continent by the way but especially here. It resembles here and there to Montmartre de Paris but the later seems more like an organised chique district compared to Valparaiso. Montmartre must have been like this decades ago.
There has been a small picture on our shelf in Brussels about one of the strangely bending hillside street corners of Valparaiso with its colorful houses. Lea got it as a present from Janet who has welcomed us in her home in Santiago during the last couple of days. This little souvenir will now be filled with even more meaning and will continue reminding us to the joly good time we have had.
